From your numbers if you cash $100,000 in checks a month for 5% in fees, that's only $5,000 month, which isn't enough to cover rent and utilities, let alone payroll. Someone with a $10 hour burden rate at 12 hours day, 26 days month is over $3,000 month, and I would think that would be pretty low. Bottom line - to cover labor, insurance, rent, utilities, and turn a profit you'd have to have at least $10,000 month in revenue, which would require about $200,000 - $250,000 in checks cashed
